Personal poems are fragments of poetic thought which on occasion find their way to paper. They are descended from the “Dribblet” genre of my youth recorded in the Classical High School Argus. Personal poems emerged after a long interregnum in 1983 stimulated by the death of a friends daughter, a beautiful child.
Personal poems are collected here only because of my fathers expressed desire that I publish them. This collection is meant to honor him. He was the primary critic with whom I shared them. Only with great timidity do I share most of these with the world.
